Introduction

The 10-Hour General Industry Course equips workers in manufacturing, warehousing, and other industries with foundational safety training, aligned with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards. This program focuses on hazard recognition, safe work practices, and compliance requirements. Through theoretical instruction, case studies, and interactive discussions, participants will develop the skills to prevent workplace injuries, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety in general industry settings.

Course Objectives

  • Understand OSHA’s role and 29 CFR 1910 standards for general industry safety.
  • Identify workplace hazards, such as slips, trips, machine guarding, and chemical exposures.
  • Learn safe work practices for machinery, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Develop skills to recognize and report workplace safety violations.
  • Explore OSHA’s Focus Four Hazards and their relevance to general industry.
  • Gain knowledge of workers’ rights and employer responsibilities under OSHA.
