Introduction
The Electrical Safety Course is designed to provide workers, electricians, and supervisors with comprehensive knowledge and skills to safely work with or around electrical systems, in compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E standards. This program covers electrical hazard identification, safe work practices, and emergency response procedures. Through a combination of theoretical instruction, hands-on demonstrations, and scenario-based training, participants will gain the expertise needed to prevent electrical accidents, ensure workplace safety, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Course Objectives
- Understand OSHA and NFPA 70E electrical safety standards to ensure workplace compliance.
- Identify electrical hazards, including shock, arc flash, and arc blast risks.
- Learn safe work practices for electrical equipment, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Develop skills to assess and mitigate electrical risks using proper control measures.
- Explore the selection, use, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) for electrical work.
- Gain knowledge of emergency response procedures for electrical incidents.
- Understand the importance of electrical safety training and communication in the workplace.
- Learn to conduct electrical equipment inspections and maintain accurate safety records.

A 30-minute multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam and a practical lockout/tagout demonstration.
Certification
Electrical Safety Certificate issued by ACSGP upon successful completion.
