Introduction

The Emergency Life Support and First Aid at Worksite Course equips workers and supervisors with the critical skills to provide immediate medical assistance in workplace emergencies, aligning with OSHA and American Red Cross standards. This program covers basic life support techniques, including CPR, AED use, and first aid for common worksite injuries. Through theoretical instruction, hands-on practice, and scenario-based training, participants will gain the confidence and expertise to respond effectively to medical emergencies, potentially saving lives.

Course Objectives

  • Understand OSHA and American Red Cross guidelines for workplace first aid and emergency life support.
  • Learn to assess emergency situations and prioritize life-saving interventions.
  • Develop skills to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
  • Identify and treat common worksite injuries, such as cuts, burns, and fractures.
  • Explore the use of first aid kits and their contents for effective emergency response.
  • Gain knowledge of legal and ethical considerations in providing first aid at work.

A 30-minute multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam and a practical CPR/AED and first aid skills evaluation.

Emergency Life Support and First Aid Certificate issued by ACSGP upon successful completion.
