Introduction

The Hazard Communication Course is designed to educate workers and supervisors on the safe handling of hazardous chemicals in the workplace, in compliance with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200). This program covers chemical hazard identification, labeling, safety data sheets (SDS), and worker education. Through theoretical instruction, practical exercises, and case studies, participants will gain the expertise to ensure safe chemical handling, reduce exposure risks, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Course Objectives

  • Understand OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard and its workplace requirements.
  • Identify hazardous chemicals and their associated risks in the workplace.
  • Learn to interpret chemical labels and safety data sheets (SDS) accurately.

Assessment

A 30-minute multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam and a practical SDS interpretation exercise.
