
Machine Guarding Course

Introduction
The Machine Guarding Course is designed to train workers, supervisors, and safety professionals in the safe operation and maintenance of machinery, in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.212 and related standards. This program covers machine hazard identification, guarding techniques, and safe work practices. Through theoretical instruction, practical demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, participants will gain the expertise to prevent machine-related injuries, ensure workplace safety, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Course Objectives
- Understand OSHA’s machine guarding standards and their workplace applications.
- Identify machine hazards, such as pinch points, rotating parts, and flying debris.
- Learn to select and install appropriate machine guards and safety devices.
- Develop skills to conduct machine safety inspections and identify guarding deficiencies.

Assessment
A 30-minute multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam and a practical machine guarding inspection exercise.

Machine Guarding Certificate issued by ACSGP upon successful completion.
