Introduction

The Safely Working at Heights Course is designed to train workers, supervisors, and safety professionals in the safe execution of tasks at elevated levels, in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.501 and ANSI/ASSP Z359 standards. This program covers fall hazard identification, fall protection systems, and safe work practices. Through theoretical instruction, hands-on training, and practical exercises, participants will gain the expertise to prevent falls, ensure worker safety, and maintain regulatory compliance when working at heights.

Course Objectives

  • Understand OSHA and ANSI standards for working at heights and fall protection.
  • Identify fall hazards in various work-at-height environments, such as roofs and ladders.
  • Learn to select, inspect, and use fall protection systems, including harnesses and anchor points.
  • Develop skills to implement fall prevention measures and safe work practices.
  • Explore the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) specific to working at heights.
  • Gain knowledge of emergency response and rescue procedures for fall incidents.
  • Understand the importance of training and communication for height safety.
  • Learn to document fall protection inspections and incidents for compliance.

A 30-minute multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam and a practical fall protection system inspection and use evaluation.
