Introduction

The Slip, Trip, and Fall Prevention Course is designed to train workers, supervisors, and safety professionals in identifying and mitigating slip, trip, and fall hazards in the workplace, in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.22 and related standards. This program covers hazard recognition, control measures, and safe work practices. Through theoretical instruction, practical demonstrations, and scenario-based exercises, participants will gain the expertise to reduce fall-related injuries, enhance workplace safety, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Course Objectives

  • Understand OSHA standards for walking-working surfaces and fall prevention.
  • Identify slip, trip, and fall hazards, such as wet floors, clutter, and uneven surfaces.
  • Learn to implement control measures, including housekeeping and surface maintenance.
  • Develop skills to assess workplace environments for fall risks.
  • Explore the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and anti-slip footwear.
  • Gain knowledge of emergency response procedures for fall-related injuries.
  • Understand the importance of training and communication for fall prevention.
  • Learn to document fall hazard assessments and incidents for compliance.

A 30-minute multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam and a practical slip, trip, and fall hazard assessment exercise.
