Introduction

The Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Course is designed to train workers, supervisors, and environmental coordinators in preventing and managing oil spills, in compliance with EPA’s SPCC regulations (40 CFR Part 112). This program covers spill prevention planning, control measures, and response procedures. Through theoretical instruction, case studies, and practical exercises, participants will gain the expertise to minimize environmental impact, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect workplaces from oil spill hazards.

Course Objectives

  • Understand EPA’s SPCC regulations and their application to oil-handling facilities.
  • Identify potential spill risks and sources in workplace operations.
  • Learn to develop and implement SPCC plans, including containment and control measures.
